Administration

Website-The college website serves as an information hub, conveying information about the college, its operations, relevant notices, courses offered, and so on. A Website Committee has been constituted to manage the college website. The Committee oversees the frequent update, maintenance, and operation of the website. The Committee also examines for any other changes that need to be made to the website. All critical announcements are made live on the website as soon as they are made available.

Student Admissions

The admission process is conducted in an open and transparent manner, which is guided by the affiliating University of Calcutta laws and Government of West Bengal’s guidelines. The College publishes its admissions guidelines and intake capacity on the college website. Aseparate admission Portal is used to manage college admissions the link to which is provided in the college website. The number of students applying to each course, merit lists and fee submissions are controlled solely through this Portal.

Examination

Given the increasing shift towards e-learning which was reinforced by a pandemic, the college has implemented an online learning system (G-suite) through which students can attend lectures, submit assignments and take internal exams for each semester. Further the college also has a separate examination portal for conducting end semester university examinations.

Library

The College maintains its academic excellence by maintaining a well-stocked library. The College will continue to add e-learning resources for the benefit of teachers and students. The College provides access to various journals, e-books and reference books through INFLIBNETand N-List, moreover it keeps subscribing to new journals and books on a regular basis. Further, the college has implemented KOHA-ILMS for ease of operation and smooth functioning of the library.

Accounting and Finance

The college uses Tally ERP 7 version of the software to maintain its accounts. Advanced features assist staff in effectively and efficiently maintaining financial records. Profit and loss statements, as well as balance sheets, are generated solely by this software. Tally is also used to produce all of the analysis reports. Further, the college has engaged the services of M/s InfotechLab which provides a cloud-based platform for fee collection [AIMES cloud.in]. Students pay their fees online through the Razor Pay payment gateway, which accepts net banking, credit card, debit card, UPI, and other payment methods. For the transactions to remain confidential, appropriate security measures are implemented.

The College also employs a variety of software, including the IFMS-HRMS, which is used to manage government funds, and the Payroll Management System, which assists in the automatic calculation of salaries, the generation of salary slips, and the distribution of salaries to bank accounts. This system handles TDS, Provident Fund, Allowances, and so on. Reports can be generated for all members of the staff.

ICT Infrastructure in Teaching

The college has made significant efforts to provide an e-learning environment in the classroom and uses ICT tools such laptops & desktops, projectors, wifi-set, video lectures, audio clips to support, enhance, and optimise educational delivery.Various educational activities, such as project presentations, business quizzes, debates, paper presentations, and so on, are organised with the use of several Information Communication Tools.
