Umeschandra College has a zero tolerance policy on Sexual Harassment. It has laid down effective principles and procedures to combat the incidents of sexual harassment in workplace. In pursuance to the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and the regulations prescribed by the University Grants Commission (Prevention, prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment of women employees and students in higher education institutions) Regulation, 2016 the college has constituted the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) to ensure congenial atmosphere at the institution, thus facilitating women to work with dignity, self-respect and reassurance. The Committee has been working relentlessly to create awareness on gender equality issues, right against sexual harassment and the redressal forums available.
